Haiti Earthquake

STATEMENT FROM THE NORTHEASTERN CONFERENCE ADVENTIST COMMUNITY SERVICES AND DISASTER RESPONSE

The Adventist Community Services (ACS) and Disaster Responses (DR) of the Northeastern Conference of Seventh-day Adventists are monitoring very closely the evolution of the situation in Haiti.  We stand in solidarity with the Haitian population.  We are currently in close communication with ADRA-Haiti and the Inter-American Division of Seventh-day Adventists that are already working on the ground in Jeremie, Les Cayes, etc.  We are praying and asking God to show favor and bless to the people of Haiti.  On behalf of Dr. Daniel Honoré, the NEC administrative and staff, we stand ready to do our part to support our brothers and sisters in Haiti.

Along with the Inter-American Division, ADRA-Haiti, the North American Division ACS Ministries, and the Atlantic Union conferences of Seventh-day Adventists we are working diligently to respond to the urgent needs of the people.  The Northeastern Conference is making an immediate donation of $20,000 to the South Haiti Mission of Seventh-day Adventists in efforts to support the local Adventist community. You can donate at any of our ACS Centers.
